You know what I’m very good at? Suggesting. Sometimes uninvited suggestions, because when my people are in something – a crisis, heartache, problem – I think they must be telling me so I can share with them how to get out of it. My heart hurts so much for them that I want nothing more than to push and pull them out if it.
But the goal isn’t always to get out. We have to get through.
So how can I be better about sitting in it instead of finding ways out? What’s the balance between learning what this season has to offer and navigating to the other side?
I think it’s in holding both. The pain or uncertainty of now and the hope of then.
I spent some time talking to ANOTHER Instagram friend, Taylor Schumann, who wrote when thoughts and prayers aren’t enough.
