The process of buying a house, finding a place to live your life, that’s stressful enough. But then you get through that process and you’re left with a house. A big, ideally empty, house. Then what? There’s so much space! So many walls! What goes where?! Our house sat like a blank canvas for several months before I knew I wanted it to be more inviting, more comfortable and a place of rest. So, I called in the professionals, i.e. my friend Amanda, and gave her a budget and like a fairy from Pottery Barn she came in, worked her magic and one day when I got home from work I walked into a home. A place I loved to be because it so easily showed our heart. A place I was proud of. Amanda is here today, and my friend Emily, whose house is straight out of Home and Garden, to talk about the ups and downs of decorating in No One Told Me How To Make A House A Home.
